This chili uses a red pepper instead of a green pepper. Good Chili to have in the chilly weather. Corn bread would go nicely on the side.
1 medium sized onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 tsp. garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
45 ounces chili beans, mild spicy style
24 ounces V-8 juice
24 ounces beef broth
2 T. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
Cook the ground beef, onion, red pepper, garlic and pepper together.
Turn the heat to low and cover and cook for25 minutes.
Add beans, V-8, beef broth, chili powder, and cumin simmer for 2 hours.
