This recipe is an adaptation from a recipe for Strawberry Parfaits in an issue of Prevention Magazine.
The article was stating that there are some foods that help you to fall asleep. Foods that contain amino acid tryptophan can make you sleepy. The turkey is blamed for this. Also that's why a warm glass of milk is suggested at bedtime.
You can boost tryptophan's effect by having it with carbohydrates, in a bedtime snack to help get a good night's sleep.

The Strawberry Parfait is a treat with both.
The original recipe calls for Muesil cereal. I used Natural Granola, Oats and Honey
You will need:
Fresh washed Strawberries cut into 4 pieces each
Natural Granola, Oats and Honey
Lowfat Vanilla Yogurt
Directions:
- In a glass or parfait glass begin with 2 or 3 fresh strawberries chopped into 4 pieces each.
- Put 3 T. of Lowfat Vanilla Yogurt on top of the strawberries.
- Put 1 1/2 T. of granola on top of the yogurt
- Repeat
- End with some sliced strawberries
This is a good little treat. You may opt to add a tsp. or so of fresh blueberries along with the strawberries.
